REFORM Metron is the platform used for autonomous work.
The aim of the AUTILITY project is to research, develop and demonstrate key technologies that enable automated transport and work processes.
Surface machining: The use of REFORM Metron for the automated machining of demarcated surfaces is an area of application for the AUTILITY concept. The flexible equipment with attachments such as a sweeping brush or a mower allows the use of the vehicle platform for different tasks.
Air freight transport: The automation of a transport task in the air freight sector represents a further application case within the project. Specifically, the system is used to automatically cover the distance between the air freight depot and the apron of Linz Airport in the form of a transport train.
Autility is intended to reduce the stress and hazards to people in complex work processes, especially under difficult environmental conditions. The consortium, consisting of Austrian research institutions and industrial partners, has set itself the goal of achieving significant progress in this area. The basis for the development activities in the project is a multifunctional platform that can be used both as a towing vehicle and as a equipment carrier. Using innovative technical methods, this vehicle is to be further developed for automated use and tested under real conditions.
