Approximately 5 hectares of lawns can be cultivated on sports fields as well as on the sunbathing lawns of the swimming pools in the summer months. Of which 3.5 hectares in Gossau itself, 1.5 hectares in the surrounding locations of Arnegg, Rosenau, Lindenberg and Bundwiese.
The lawns are mown twice a week. Kurt Horber, manager of the Buechenwald sports facilities, is proud of the benefits of the Metrac H7 RX reform: "I spend many hours in the vehicle. I particularly appreciate the pleasant driving comfort, the simple operation of the vehicle, the air conditioning on hot summer days and of course the great manoeuvrability thanks to all-wheel steering, which I can switch on at the push of a button. The vibration damping on the front and rear linkage is also ingenious when I'm on the road with the attachments".
Thanks to the low weight of the Metrac together with the 220 cm wide rotary mower, work on the lawn is very gentle on the soil. The grass suction device on the rear linkage has a capacity of 2.5 m³ and can be tilted hydraulically to a height of 210 cm.
In future, a snow blower will also be used to clear the artificial turf of the snow masses.
The reliable support provided by the local Reform partner Thomas Rutz Landmaschinen in Gossau is working wonderfully.
