Another important step has now been taken with the completion of the new Customer Employee Centre (KMC). The ground-breaking ceremony for the new building took place in December 2018, with commissioning in July 2020. The KMC has a spacious showroom area, several training and conference rooms with state-of-the-art technology, a vehicle handover box, a new staff restaurant with terrace, an attractive reception area and the REFORM fan shop.
A showroom area of more than 700 m² enables the attractive presentation of REFORM products, which can be viewed here in detail from the outside and inside. In addition, several information monitors show product videos and presentations about the vehicles. In the spacious reception area with a seating area, visitors, customers, suppliers and partners are personally welcomed. All information material on the products is also available there. The new staff restaurant, where freshly prepared meals are served daily, offers 130 seats. In addition, the adjoining terrace with 60 seats is available during the summer months.
The ceremonial opening on 28 April 2021, which took place mainly outdoors in front of the KMC in the best weather, was attended by the Upper Austrian Governor Mag. Thomas Stelzer, the Mayor of Wels Dr. Andreas Rabl and the President of the Upper Austrian Chamber of Commerce Mag. Doris Hummer. The guests of honour were welcomed by REFORM's main owner and CEO Dr. Clemens Malina-Altzinger. After the greetings, the new customer-employee centre was officially opened with a ribbon cutting and photo opportunity.
"A central pillar of Upper Austria as a business location are innovative family-owned companies like Reform-Werke, which move forward courageously and with foresight, invest and provide employment in the region," emphasised Governor Thomas Stelzer in his speech and was impressed by the new building.
Afterwards, REFORM's managing directors Reinhard Riepl and Franz Haas presented the most important new products. The focus was on the new slope implement carrier Metrac H75, the new transporters Muli T7 X and T8 X as well as the municipal vehicle Boki 1252. After a short snack, the guests were invited to a small tour of the factory.
The completion of the KMC represents a significant modernisation step and enables a customer and employee-oriented presentation of the REFORM brand at a completely new level. The expansion and modernisation process is not yet complete for REFORM. Another investment in the future of the factory will be the construction of a technology centre to the tune of around € 5 million - a project that will be launched this year. There, the development and testing areas will be expanded in particular. In addition, the renovation of the logistics centre is planned.
